Employee Profile: William White

By Brittany Fugate, Founder

William White, who just joined us in September, is Cenetric’s new Field Support Technician. Prior to working with us, William supervised a Geek Squad precinct.

In two years with that company, he began as a counter agent and quickly moved up to repair and then to supervisor. The skills he brings to Cenetric will be a huge benefit to our clients and the rest of our team.

Meet William!

Tell us about your work at Cenetric

My primary responsibility is visiting clients to work on tech issues that we can’t fix remotely — anything that requires hands-on work comes to the field support team. We also help out with device provisioning and the occasional remote ticket.

What’s your favorite aspect of your work?

I love being able to work on problems that engage and excite me. There’s a lot to learn at Cenetric, and every day is a new challenge. I’m always outside my comfort zone and being pushed to grow and learn.

What’s your favorite thing about working at Cenetric?

I love how cozy the office feels. The office and staff create a very welcoming and enjoyable environment. Being in the office almost feels like a second home.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

In my spare time, I’m a jazz musician and avid gamer. I play saxophone and piano, and I sing in a local community vocal jazz choir. I thoroughly enjoy Dark Souls-style games and am always looking for a new game to challenge me. I also like to collect PEZ candy dispensers as a hobby. I have a collection of approximately 250 unique PEZ dispensers.

If you could hang out with anyone for a day (living or dead), who would it be and why?

I would want to spend a day with my Grandfather Bill. He was my namesake, but he passed away before I was born. My mom tells me I’m a lot like him, and I’ve always wished I could’ve met him. He was a musician as well, and I’d love to get to play a song with him.

What’s your favorite Kansas City restaurant?

LC’s Bar-B-Q. It’s easily the best barbecue in Kansas City — this is a hill I’m willing to die on.

What’s your favorite Kansas City place to go?

I’d have to say downtown KCMO. There’s a lot to do, great food, good entertainment, and you’re right next to the River Market and the Crossroads. That’s also home to the convention center and annual Comic-Con, which I attend every year.
